Aspris is recruiting for a Psychotherapist based in the Ayrshire, Scotland area to join our Therapy team. We are seeking enthusiastic, caring, and passionate individuals to become an integral part of our therapy team. The successful candidate will join our multi-disciplinary team, offering an integrated approach within our residential children’s homes, providing flexible, one-to-one therapy with our young people. The role requires close collaboration with the Head of Therapy and Senior Psychotherapists to deliver high-quality, therapeutic support. This position is primarily remote with regular travel across Ayrshire.

Responsibilities Include :
  1. Direct Clinical Work
    • Manage your own caseload, both in-person and remotely.
    • Provide collaborative therapeutic assessments and identify when additional guidance is needed.
  2. Training & Development
    • Deliver training workshops to internal staff, such as practitioners, managers, and external professionals (e.g., schools), as needed.
    • Develop therapeutic training programs, including researching relevant theories.
  3. Caseload and Record Management
    • Ensure high-quality therapeutic records and reports, evaluating the impact of interventions and support provided.
    • Lead and facilitate group and/or individual therapy sessions, ensuring activities and interventions meet the needs of the young people and align with the therapy plan.
    • Respond promptly to referrals, undertaking initial assessments to establish the scope and nature of therapeutic needs.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Relevant professional qualifications in Psychotherapy and Counselling.
  • Registered with BACP, UKCP, COSCA, or HCPC, adhering to their ethical frameworks.
  • At least 2 years of experience supporting children and young people therapeutically.
  • Fulfilled and exceeded minimum clinical hours required by professional bodies.
  • Experience responding to safeguarding concerns effectively.
  • Skilled in delivering formulation-driven, collaborative, and goal-focused interventions.
  • Proficient in preparing comprehensive clinical reports within deadlines.
  • Experience liaising with stakeholders in health, social care, education, and law enforcement.
  • Competent in using database systems for record-keeping.
