Job Title: Psychotherapist

Location: Underley Gardens School, Kirkby Lonsdale, Lancashire LA6 2DZ

Salary: GBP41,338 - GBP56,800 pro rata, DOE

Hours: 24 hours per week, 3 days per week, (days negotiable)

Contract: Permanent, Term-Time only

Essential: Full valid UK driving licence and access to own vehicle

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Psychotherapist to join our Clinical Teams at Underley Gardens School in Kirkby Lonsdale. You will work as a key member of our clinical teams, delivering assessments and interventions for pupils with complex communication needs, autism, and related emotional needs.

You will implement a holistic, therapeutic approach, ensuring pupils' safety, comfort, and health. Responsibilities include conducting assessments, interventions, documentation, report writing, and collaborating with the onsite clinical team to develop clinical services, including staff and parent training.

Our multidisciplinary Clinical Team fosters a nurturing environment where pupils can flourish, with a strong safeguarding culture. We prioritize listening to and respecting our pupils, involving them in decisions affecting them where possible.

Essential Criteria
  • Recognized qualification, e.g., Master's Degree in Psychotherapy, registered with the appropriate professional body
  • Minimum Level 7 qualification or Level 5 with relevant experience
  • Clear report writing skills for clinical and research activities
  • Registration with BABCP or NCPC, and HCPC where applicable
  • Experience working with autistic individuals with complex needs
  • Ability to work independently under supervision
  • Experience in multi-professional teams or services
  • Evidence of ongoing professional development
  • Full UK driving license and access to a car
