Job summary

University of Sheffield International College is seeking an Academic Tutor to deliver Psychology Research Methods and Cognitive Psychology to international Year 1 students. The role includes module delivery, assessment, and coordinating related teaching activities within the Science team.

The successful candidate will have a PhD or Master’s in Psychology, experience teaching research methods in UK Higher Education, and be able to support international students across assessment tasks.

Qualifications

• Teach international Year 1 Psychology Research Methods and Cognitive Psychology modules to groups of ~18–20 students.
• Coordinate module delivery and QA marking where required, updating materials as needed.
• Deliver formative and summative assessments with constructive feedback.
• Engage in quality assurance processes and continuous improvement of modules.

Responsibilities

• Deliver academic provision for Psychology modules to international students.
• Collaborate with teaching staff and participate in module coordination.
• Mark assessments and provide timely feedback.
• Contribute to quality assurance, standardisation, and moderation processes.
• Lead or assist small teaching teams when assigned.
