John Mason School in Abingdon is seeking a passionate Psychology Teacher to cover maternity leave from October 2026 to May 2027. You will teach across KS4 and KS5 in a welcoming Social Sciences team within a diverse 11-18 school.

The successful candidate may be an experienced Psychology teacher or an ambitious ECT, with QTS or equivalent, strong knowledge of curriculum and assessment, and the ability to inspire students to critically evaluate psychological research.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching experience.
• Experience teaching Psychology within a secondary school or sixth-form setting.
• ECTs with relevant Psychology teaching experience are welcome to apply.

About the role

A Secondary School in Abingdon is seeking an enthusiastic and committed Psychology Teacher to join their Social Sciences team on a maternity cover contract from October 2026 until May 2027.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Psychology Teacher, or an ambitious ECT, to join a welcoming secondary school and make a positive contribution to the learning and progress of students across Key Stages 4 and 5.

You will
