TeacherActive is working with a supportive Oxfordshire secondary school to appoint an experienced Psychology Teacher to join their Social Sciences provision from October Half Term 2026.

You will deliver engaging lessons across GCSE and A-Level Psychology, fostering critical thinking and solid understanding of research methods within a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a relevant teaching qualification.
• Strong subject knowledge within Psychology.
• Experience teaching GCSE and/or A-Level Psychology.
• Confidence delivering psychological theories, studies and research methods.
• Ability to develop students' analytical and critical evaluation skills.
• Excellent classroom management skills.
• Commitment to delivering consistently high standards of teaching and learning.
• Ability to quickly build positive relationships with students and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging lessons that encourage students to explore human behaviour, critically evaluate theories and research, and apply Psychology to real-life situations.
• Teach Psychology through to GCSE and A-Level within the Social Sciences provision.

Job Title: Psychology Teacher

Location: Oxfordshire

Start Date: October Half Term 2026

Salary: £175 - £271 per day (depending on experience)

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a supportive 11-18 secondary school in Oxfordshire, who are seeking an experienced Psychology Teacher to join their Social Sciences provision from October Half Term.
