Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a Psychology graduate to join a Wirral secondary school as a Teaching Assistant. You will support students 1:1 and in small groups, particularly those needing academic, emotional, or behavioural support, working alongside teachers and pastoral staff.

This role is ideal for graduates aiming for careers in education, educational psychology, mental health, or youth work, offering hands-on experience and ongoing guidance, with training provided throughout placement.

Qualifications

• A Psychology degree (or related subject).
• Genuine interest in child development, mental health, or special educational needs.
• Confidence working with secondary-aged pupils (11-16).
• Calm, patient, and empathetic approach.
• Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude.
• Previous experience working with children/young people is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Support students 1:1 and in small groups.

• Help students stay engaged, regulated and focused during lessons.

We're seeking a motivated and compassionate Psychology Graduate to join a supportive secondary school on the Wirral as a Teaching Assistant, working closely with students who may need additional academic, emotional, or behavioural support.

This role is ideal for graduates considering a future career in education, educational psychology, mental health, or youth work.

What you'll be doing:

• Supporting students 1:1 and in small groups across the classroom
• Assisting pupils with additional needs, including SEN, SEMH, and behavioural challenges
