Job summary

Vision for Education Ltd is recruiting a Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant to support pupils with special educational needs in a specialist school near Edgware. The role is full-time, 9:00 to 15:00, Monday to Friday, with a salary of £19,000–£20,000 per annum.

You will assist teachers and help pupils access learning, building positive relationships to overcome barriers. The successful candidate will have a warm, friendly nature and be working towards or holding a Psychology qualification,

Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant (full-time)
Finchley, North London
£19,000- £20,000 per annum (salary is dependent on experience and/or qualifications)
Start date: September 2026

Hours: 09:00 to 15:00, Monday to Friday

The School and Role

We require a Psychology Graduate with experience of working with children to work in a specialist school in Edgware, a short 5 minute walk from Edgware station supporting pupils with special educational needs, or social, emotional and mental health needs.The Psychology Graduate would work in the capacity of a Teaching Assistant, providing vital support to both teachers and pupils. You will build positive relationships with pupils, and devise strategies to overcome barriers to learning, helping them to get the most out of their education.

Requirements

• Have a warm and friendly nature to be able to build positive relationships with pupils
• Either have completed, or be working towards a qualification in Psychology
• Be passionate about supporting children with barriers to learning
