Job summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking a Psychology Graduate Behaviour Mentor to join a supportive SEN school in Ebbw Vale. You will work with students with SEMH needs, autism, ADHD, and other needs, applying innovative strategies to help them learn and feel safe.

The role involves 1:1 and small-group support, building strong relationships, and implementing behaviour support alongside teachers and SEN professionals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in psychology (or related subject).
• Experience supporting children or young people with SEN and challenging behaviours.
• Ability to implement strategies to manage and de-escalate behaviour.

Responsibilities

• Support students on a 1:1 basis and in small group settings.
• Assist pupils with behavioural, emotional and social challenges.
• Build positive relationships to encourage engagement and confidence.
• Implement behaviour support strategies alongside teachers and SEN professionals.
• Help create a safe, structured and inclusive learning environment.
• Monitor student progress and contribute to support plans
