Academics in Reading is seeking a Psychology Graduate to join the specialist school’s support team with an ASAP start. The role involves helping pupils with diverse needs, including autism and communication challenges, through 1:1 and small group support.

You will assist with learning, behaviour strategies, and emotional regulation, while building strong relationships and promoting independence in a structured setting. Previous experience is desirable but not essential.

Qualifications

A specialist school in Reading is seeking a Psychology Graduate to join their support team as soon as possible. This is a fantastic opportunity for a recent Psychology graduate to apply their academic knowledge within a practical educational environment.

As a Psychology Graduate, you will support pupils who may have a range of additional needs, including autism, ADHD, learning difficulties, communication needs, and social or emotional challenges.

As a Psychology Graduate, your responsibilities will include:

• Providing 1:1 and small group support
• Supporting pupils with learning, communication, and social development
• Building positive relationships with children and young people
• Helping pupils manage emotions and develop coping strategies
• Supporting positive behaviour and emotional regulation
• Assisting with personalised learning and behaviour strategies

The ideal Psychology Graduate will be passionate about working with children and young people and keen to develop their understanding of SEN and behaviour. Previous experience working with children is desirable but not essential.
