Job Title: Psychology Graduate Learning Support Assistant

Salary: GBP85- GBP100 per day

Teacher Active is proud to be working with a fantastic SEN school in Swindon, supporting with their recruitment for a dedicated and passionate learning support assistant. This setting supports children with varied diagnoses through 1:1 tutoring and alternative learning provisions. This school is set on a beautiful, large, green space with an incredible farm for students to enjoy and take part in, as well as a plethora of sensory and play areas. Upholding a high standard of holistic education, there is emphasis placed on the important provision of social, emotional, physical and mental health-centred programmes that help students to thrive and reach their full potential. We are looking for a driven and knowledgeable Psychology Graduate Learning Support Assistant who can make a positive and lasting impact in the lives of individuals with Autism/ASD, ADHD, Moderate Learning Difficulties/MLD and Severe Learning Difficulties/SLD.

We are seeking an organised and proactive individual to take on this day-to-day role, although there is potential for this to become a long-term placement for the right Learning Support Assistant. Every day is different, filled with the opportunity to learn and grow. The successful candidate will bring a big smile, new perspective and skill set to this role. They will demonstrate an eagerness to develop their own skills to adapt to the pupils' individual needs and have a positive impact on the school.

The position will involve working with students across Key Stages 1, 2, 3, and 4 with diagnoses of Autism/ASD, ADHD, and MLD/Moderate Learning Difficulties and Severe Learning Difficulties/SLD. A proactive thinker with great organisation and the ability to take control of situations confidently is necessary.

The successful Learning Support Assistant will have:

• Experience and/or in-depth understanding of supporting children with additional needs/disabilities
• Experience and/or in-depth understanding of working with students with Social Emotional Mental Health (SEMH) and challenging behaviours
• Level 2 or 3 CACHE or equivalent is an asset
• Team-Teach or MAPA qualifications desirable
