Job summary

Aspire People is recruiting a Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant in Leeds to support a welcoming primary school from September. This full-time long-term role offers the chance to gain classroom experience before teacher training, with a trial day for shortlisted applicants.

You will assist in the provision space, support pupils with challenging behaviour or SEN, work across KS1–2 with class teachers, and deliver targeted intervention sessions outside the classroom to raise attainment.

Qualifications

• A degree in psychology or education related subject
• Recent, relevant experience working with young people is beneficial
• Confidence delivering intervention work to small groups
• A proactive attitude, strong communication skills, and a genuine passion for education

Responsibilities

• Assist within the provision space of the school
• Support pupils with challenging behaviour and/or SEN needs
• Support across KS1-2, working alongside class teachers to deliver high-quality learning
• Deliver targeted intervention sessions outside of the classroom, helping to raise attainment
• A trial day will be offered for shortlisted applicants
