This role operates primarily on a remote working arrangement that will require little to no travel into our Coventry head office or Arden campuses. Our working model arrangements are a non-contractual benefit so please note that an Arden work location is added to our employment contracts (usually your closest Arden location)

About our Department:
The Department ofsits in the Faculty of Social Sciences, and has grown significantly over the last 3 years, and our journey continues. Our academic team has a diverse range of experiences from working in academia, as practitioners and working in industry. Our focus is on developing students in both discipline knowledge and applied skills to make them employer ready when they graduate from us.
About the Opportunity:
You will provide technical support for teaching and research activities across our distance and blended learning programmes. You will support students at all levels (foundation, undergraduate, postgraduate) to use specialist software and undertake experiments. Providing one-to-one support, group tutorials, demonstrations, and training sessions and materials will be a key part of the role as well as playing an active role in identifying and developing technical solutions. You will oversee the virtual laboratory and are expected to contribute to a range of broader academic initiatives across the University.
About You:
You will need to have a BPS accredited degree in Psychology, along with a good understanding of Psychology as an academic subject, and have some experience of teaching or providing tutorial support to students along with experience of the online learning environment.
We are looking for someone with excellent IT skills, and a good working knowledge of specialist psychology software, particularly SPSS, Jamovi and Gorilla. Effective written and verbal communication skills are important, as is the ability to work on your own initiative
