Job description

We are looking to recruit an 8B practitioner psychologist to co-lead the psychology team working alongside the West Northamptonshire Community Adult Mental Health Teams (CMHTs).

Role Overview

1. The post-holder will work alongside other 8B psychologists in the Northamptonshire CMHTs.
2. This varied role involves leading the team of practitioner psychologists and psychology team members, as well as some direct clinical work.
3. Applicants interested in this role as a development post are welcome.

Benefits and Incentives

1. A recruitment incentive of £5,000 pro rata for successful candidates over 2.5 years, with initial payment of £2,000 in the first month, £2,000 at 13 months, and £1,000 at 18 months. Terms and conditions apply.
2. A relocation package up to £8,000 is available if the successful postholder relocates to Northamptonshire and meets other eligibility criteria, subject to approval.

Responsibilities

1. Share supervision and delegated management responsibilities with the existing lead psychologists.
2. Work clinically with a small caseload, providing supervision to others.
3. Ideal candidates will have experience and specialist knowledge working with severe and enduring mental health difficulties, such as complex trauma, with a preference for those with CBTp or experience working with psychosis.
