Job summary

Durham & Darlington Talking Therapies Service, led by Tees, Esk and Wear Valleys NHS Foundation Trust, seeks a qualified Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner to deliver low intensity cognitive behavioural interventions for anxiety and depression. You will operate across face-to-face, telephone, video and online formats within the Durham & Darlington area.

You will engage in supervision, CPD and professional development to remain accredited and provide evidence-based therapies, while supporting

Qualifications

• PWP qualifications from a BABCP/BPS accredited PWP programme/apprenticeship
• Accredited with BABCP or BPS as a PWP (or working towards accreditation within 6 months)
• If qualifying by apprenticeship route, pass apprenticeship end point assessment and have literacy/numeracy/IT skills
• Core profession in mental health and experience with common MH problems in IAPT
• Ability to deliver evidence based IAPT low intensity interventions
• Experience of screening and assessing mental health issues in step 2
• Experience in risk management and drug/alcohol management
• Experience of partnership working and CTD targets with outcomes
• Excellent verbal and written communication, including telephone skills
• Ability to develop therapeutic relationships and work under pressure

Responsibilities

• Conduct one to one Guided Self Help sessions face to face and remotely
• Review using SilverCloud Computerised CBT package
• Support Online Psychoeducational Classes
• Conduct Single Point of Access assessments
• Facilitate referrals to other health care providers
