The Virtual Psychiatry Unit offers a novel approach to delivering acute Mental Health and Substance Use care to clients across the Fraser Health Region. This innovative program provides the opportunity to work within a team-based, inter-professional care environment. Care is administered to acute patients directly in their homes and through virtual channels.
As a qualified or eligible Psychiatrist, you will deliver top-tier care to adult patients served by Fraser Health, as part of an interdisciplinary team. Your responsibilities include consulting at the Virtual Psychiatry Unit, engaging in outreach to patients' residences, and participating in virtual on-call duties.
This position is fully remote, but occasional in-person attendance for team meetings may be required.
Services encompass assessment, outpatient treatment and consultation, family meetings, case conferences, discharge planning, and education of psychiatry residents and medical students.
You will play a crucial role in ensuring continuity of care by fostering positive relationships among care providers and advocating for patients' psychiatric needs.
