Job description

Service Care Solutions

are recruiting a Remote Psychiatrist to support an established client, providing assessments for ADHD and Autism (ASD) patients.

Please note: Only experienced Psychiatrists with extensive experience in ASD/ADHD assessment will be considered for this role.

Location:

Remote (must be worked in the UK), onsite appointments available at Canterbury and Dorchester for inflated rates.

Pay:

To be discussed in pre-screen interview.

Hours:

Minimum of 3 full days per week (weekend working available).

Both Adult and Child Psychiatrists will be considered!
Duties:
  1. Conduct comprehensive developmental histories using preferred methods/tools to evaluate patients undergoing autism assessments.
  2. Conduct ADHD assessments.
  3. Observe patients during sessions and ensure questions are asked in a thorough but compassionate manner.
  4. Review reports, developmental history, and relevant collateral information from home and observers in the same session.
  5. Formulate diagnoses, conclude assessments, and provide feedback to families in a kind, age-appropriate, and compassionate manner, including recommendations and signposting to local/national resources.
  6. Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team (MDT) for further information and offer follow-up sessions if needed.
  7. Produce high-quality, detailed diagnostic reports within 48 hours post-assessment, adhering to relevant criteria and report templates, with admin support for formatting and quality control.
  8. Request onward referrals as clinically necessary, in line with local NHS Trust/ICB protocols.
Clinics:
  1. Up to four appointments per day, paid on a competitive per assessment tariff (self-employed, outside IR35).
  2. Standard Assessments = 2 hrs, Dual ASD/ADHD Assessments = 2.5 hrs, Conclusion Appointments = 30 mins.
  3. Remote work and face-to-face clients.
  4. Other options such as hybrid/face-to-face depending on location.
  5. Flexible working days from Monday to Sunday.
What We’re Looking For:
  1. GMC-registered doctor with a valid license to practice.
  2. CCT in Adult Psychiatry / Child Psychiatry required.
  3. Expertise and confidence in ASD and/or ADHD assessments for adults or children.
  4. Up-to-date with revalidation and appraisal processes.
  5. A professional embodying trust, integrity, commitment, and kindness.
  6. Passionate about delivering clinical excellence.
