Job summary

FirstGroup Swansea Depot is seeking a PSV/HGV Technician to keep buses and coaches on the road. The role involves diagnosing faults, performing mechanical repairs and parts replacement in a busy workshop to maintain safety and reliability.

Applicants should have NVQ Level 3 (or City & Guilds equivalent) in vehicle maintenance, PSV/HGV experience is welcome, and a valid UK driving licence is required. Strong attention to detail is essential; shifts include early/late and weekend work.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 (or City & Guilds equivalent) in vehicle maintenance & repair.
• Experience on PSV/HGV is welcomed but not required for all applicants.
• UK driving licence is essential and attention to detail is important.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose faults, carry out mechanical repairs and replace parts as needed to keep vehicles safe and reliable.
• Carry out scheduled servicing, routine inspections and preventative maintenance, plus respond to on‑road breakdowns and road test vehicles as required.
