Job summary

FirstGroup plc is hiring a PSV/HGV Technician for the Swansea Depot. You will diagnose faults, perform repairs and replacements, and conduct scheduled servicing and inspections to keep vehicles safe and reliable.

The role requires NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds in vehicle maintenance and experience with PSV or HGV; a valid UK driving licence is essential. Shift patterns include early and late rotations, with weekend work as required.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds in vehicle maintenance/repair.
• Experience on HGV or PSV vehicles preferred.
• Driving licence valid in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose faults and carry out mechanical repairs and part replacements.
• Carry out scheduled servicing, inspections and preventative maintenance.
• Respond to on‑road breakdowns and recoveries and road test vehicles.
• Ensure documentation is completed accurately and in line with regulations.
