Job summary

Stagecoach in St Helens is seeking a hands-on Bus Service Engineer/Technician to keep our modern, low-emission fleet safe and reliable. You will service vehicles, diagnose faults, and carry out roadside repairs, ensuring work is completed to Stagecoach and DVSA standards.

Qualifications

• City & Guilds Level 3 or NVQ Level 3 in PSV or HGV Maintenance (or equivalent)
• Experience servicing and repairing commercial vehicles (bus/coach/truck/HGV)
• Proficient with diagnostic tools and service manuals

Responsibilities

• Maintain and service buses to safety standards
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults
• Perform preventative and reactive maintenance including roadside repairs
• Report defects and complete work safely and in line with policies
• Collaborate with workshop colleagues and support junior team members
