Job summary

Euro Projects Recruitment - Engineering, Manufacturing & Technology is seeking a PSV Engineer for a late shift in Redditch. The role offers £21.50 per hour plus benefits and requires handling PSV/HGV fleet duties in a safety-focused workshop.

You'll perform servicing, diagnostics, repairs and inspections on heavy vehicles, with a 14:00-22:30 shift across days. A Level 3 Heavy Vehicle qualification and a valid B/B1 licence with basic tools are preferred; PSV licence is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Experience on PSV/HGV or heavy vehicle equipment is required.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with inspections, servicing, diagnostics and repairs.
• Level 3 Heavy Vehicle qualification (NVQ/City & Guilds or equivalent) advantageous.
• PSV/HGV licensing considerations and tool ownership are important.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned servicing, inspections and repairs on PSV fleet.
• Diagnose and rectify mechanical, electrical and technical faults.
• Complete defect repairs to meet safety and company standards.
• Maintain accurate engineering records and quality checks.
• Support daily service requirements with workshop team.

• £21.50 per hour with opportunities available for experienced PSV/HGV engineers looking to join an established fleet engineering team.
• Late shift working pattern: 14:00 - 22:30, working any 5 days over 7 including weekend cover.

Your background as a PSV Engineer:

• Experienced working on PSV, HGV, commercial vehicles or similar heavy vehicle equipment.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with experience carrying out inspections, servicing, diagnostics and repairs.
• Level 3 Heavy Vehicle qualification (NVQ/City & Guilds or equivalent) advantageous.
• Confident diagnosing faults and completing repairs efficiently to minimise vehicle downtime.
• A proactive and safety-focused engineer with a strong attention to detail.
• Comfortable working independently and managing workload during a late shift environment.
• B/B1 licence required & own basic tools essential.
• PSV licence advantageous.
• Carry out planned servicing, inspections, repairs and reactive maintenance across a PSV fleet.
• Diagnose and rectify mechanical, electrical and technical faults.
• Complete defect repairs while ensuring vehicles meet legal, safety and company standards.
• Help maximise fleet availability by minimising vehicle downtime.
• Carry out quality checks and maintain accurate engineering records.
• Work closely with engineering and operations teams to support daily service requirements.
• Assist with breakdowns and maintain a safe, clean and organised workshop.

This PSV Engineer role is commutable from Redditch, Bromsgrove, Studley, Alcester, Droitwich Spa, Worcester, Solihull, Birmingham, Shirley and surrounding areas.
