Job summary

First Military Recruitment are seeking a PSV Engineer in Gravesend, Kent, to diagnose, repair and maintain double-decker buses, coaches and minibuses. The role requires 4+ years' PSV experience, hands-on mechanical and diagnostic skills, and a valid UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Proven PSV Mechanic/Engineer with 4+ years' experience.
• Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills; able to troubleshoot faults.
• Full UK driving licence is required.
• Physically fit and able to lift heavy parts and work hands-on.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain double-decker buses, coaches, and minibuses to high standards.
• Perform routine servicing (oil changes, brake inspections, electrical checks) and complex repairs.
• Work independently and as part of a team, following instructions from the Workshop Director.

Salary: £41,600 - £57,200 per annum

Duties and Responsibilities for the PSV Engineer

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain double-decker buses, coaches, and minibuses to the highest standards.
• Perform routine servicing (oil changes, brake inspections, electrical checks) and complex repairs.
• Work both independently and as part of a team, following instructions from the Workshop Director.

Skills and Qualifications for the PSV Engineer

• Proven experience as a PSV Mechanic/Engineer (minimum 4+ years).
• Strong mechanical & diagnostic skills - ability to troubleshoot faults efficiently.
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
• Physical fitness - able to lift heavy parts and work in a hands-on environment.
• Full UK driving licence (required).
• A "can-do" attitude - no coasters, time-wasters, or half-effort workers!
