Job summary

Academics Ltd is seeking a dedicated PSHE Teacher for a SEMH provision in Basingstoke. The full-time role starts ASAP or January 2027 on a temporary to permanent contract, teaching KS3 and KS4 PSHE.

You should have or be working towards QTS, with experience in SEMH or complex needs, and a passion for enabling learners to thrive in an alternative setting. Salary will follow the client's pay policy.

PSHE Teacher

SEMH provision - Basingstoke

Full-time contract - ASAP/January start

Academics are recruiting on behalf of a highly successful secondary provision in Basingstoke who are looking for a PSHE Teacher to join them on a full-time, temporary to permanent contract, starting ASAP or January 2027.

They are ideally looking for a PSHE Teacher with QTS, although are open to experienced and passionate Teacher's, ideally with experience of teaching student with SEMH, or complex needs. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to work in an alternative teaching environment.

The school in Basingstoke is a Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) co-educational secondary provision for young people between the ages of 10-16 years. They have high expectations of their students and work exceptionally hard. You will be joining a team of dedicated and inspiring Teacher's and Support Staff who provide a learning environment that enables their young people to thrive and gain the best possible experience.

The successful PSHE Teacher will be emotionally intelligent, empathetic, highly motivated and be able to deliver an exciting and engaging PSHE lessons that develops learners' knowledge and skills, to both KS3 and KS4. You will ideally have experience in an SEN/SEMH school although this role is open to all.

Salary will be determined by the successful candidate's qualifications and relevant experience, and will be in accordance with the client's pay policy.
