Job summary

3 Dimensions School is seeking a PSHE Lead to shape a meaningful PSHE curriculum for pupils with Autism, SEMH and additional needs across two sites in Chard. You’ll lead, inspire, and collaborate with teachers, therapists and the broader team to promote emotional wellbeing, resilience and life skills.

The role is permanent and term-time only, 30 hours per week, with duties spanning planning, delivering engaging lessons and safeguarding with a supportive, nurturing culture.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEND, Autism or SEMH needs.
  • Passion for PSHE, wellbeing and preparing young people for successful futures.
  • Ability to deliver creative, engaging learning meeting diverse needs.
  • Builds positive, trusting relationships with pupils, families and colleagues.
  • Organised, adaptable and collaborative approach.
  • Commitment to inclusion, safeguarding and promoting pupil potential.
  • Holds Full UK Driving Licence — travel between sites required.

Job Title: PSHE Lead
Location: 3 Dimensions School, Chard, Somerset, TA20 3AJ
Hours: 30 hours per week | Monday–Friday
Salary: £25,500 per annum (not pro rata)
Contract: Permanent | Term Time Only

At 3 Dimensions School, we're looking for an enthusiastic and creative PSHE Lead to inspire pupils across our specialist school. This is a unique opportunity to shape a meaningful PSHE curriculum that helps children and young people with Autism, SEMH and additional needs build confidence, develop independence and prepare for life beyond school.

Working across our Chardleigh (Primary) and Hummingbird sites, you'll play a key role in creating engaging learning experiences that support pupils' emotional wellbeing, relationships, mental health and preparation for adulthood.

Whether you're already leading PSHE or you're an experienced teacher or practitioner with a passion for personal development and wellbeing, we'll support you to develop and succeed in this rewarding role.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Lead and develop an engaging, inclusive PSHE curriculum across both school sites.
  • Deliver creative lessons that support pupils' emotional wellbeing, resilience, independence and life skills.

  • Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists and the wider multidisciplinary team to ensure pupils receive consistent, personalised support.
  • Champion a positive, nurturing school culture where every pupil feels safe, valued and ready to succeed.

  • Is organised, adaptable and enjoys working collaboratively.
  • Is committed to inclusion, safeguarding and helping every child achieve their potential.
  • Holds a Full UK Driving Licence, as travel between our two sites is required.
