Job summary

Apple Orchard School in Horsham, West Sussex, is seeking a dedicated PSHE/Careers Teacher to support looked-after pupils with SEMH. You will deliver PSHE, Careers, vocational subjects and ASDAN, building trusting relationships and maintaining high standards.

The role is full-time, permanent, term-time only, with a start date of 17 September 2026, salary £28,000–£37,800 depending on experience. You will join a small, hardworking team led by the Headteacher; QTS and driving ability are essential,

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) required.
• Ability to motivate and encourage looked-after children.
• High expectations and a clear vision of educational excellence.
• Outstanding classroom ability and behavior management.
• Ability to create and deliver stimulating PSHE, Careers, vocational subjects and ASDAN programmes.
• Flexibility and willingness to work as part of a small, hardworking team.
• Ability to teach other subjects.
• Must be a driver (manual and automatic).

Responsibilities
