Job summary

MERJE is seeking a Prudential Risk Manager in Cardiff to own the prudential risk function, working closely with treasury and senior leadership to drive risk culture and regulatory compliance.

You will own ICAAP and the recovery & resolution plan, partner with the treasury team on the ILAAP, and provide second-line oversight of solvency, risk and regulatory returns while advising the business on capital treatment of loan assets.

Qualifications

• Experience in regulatory or prudential risk.
• Working knowledge of ICAAP and related regulatory capital frameworks.
• Experience within a PRA-regulated banking environment
• Knowledge of key risks facing a bank
• Background interpreting regulatory guidance
• Running regulatory reporting and contributing to formal documentation
• Strong written skills, able to produce and present to senior stakeholders
• Proactive risk manager able to work autonomously and drive risk culture
