Hours: 37 hours per week Monday - Thursday: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM Friday: 8:00 AM - 1:00 PM
Pay rate: Upto 24 per hour GBP
We are seeking an experienced Proving Test Technician to join a global engineering development team.
In this role, you will work on a variety of powertrain installation, integration, shakedown, and testing projects for off-highway machines and heavy vehicles. This position offers hands‑on exposure to a diverse range of technical environments, including traditional Internal Combustion (IC) engines, electric systems, and electric vehicle (EV) workshops, with technicians rotating between workshops to gain broader skills.
Technical Skills: Strong diagnostic and testing skills across mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. Ability to work across IC, electric, or EV platforms is highly valuable.
Tools & Drawings: Proficiency in using hand/power tools, lifting equipment, and welding gear, alongside the ability to interpret electrical and mechanical engineering drawings.
Qualifications: A completed or ongoing engineering or motor mechanics apprenticeship, or a relevant higher education qualification (such as NVQ Level 3), is highly desirable. Soft Skills: Must be an adaptable team player who thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment and is eager to learn across different functions. IT Skills: Good PC literacy, including proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
