Job summary

Rapiscan Systems is seeking a Data Collection Test Technician to join the Product and development teams. The role focuses on planning and executing data collections and tests from prototype X-ray machines, to support algorithm development and regulatory certification processes.

The successful candidate will develop test datasets, conduct thorough testing, and maintain detailed records while collaborating with the algorithm team and regulatory bodies. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent relevant experience.
• Ability to analyze data and identify trends.
• Strong attention to detail and meticulous record keeping.
• Willingness to travel up to 10–20% domestically and internationally.
• Experience with testing methodologies, analysis methods and statistics is a plus.
• Experience with regulatory test bodies is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage test sets to create datasets for testing and development.
• Run tests by scanning items and recording detailed results.
• Analyze and curate test data; provide feedback to algorithm team.
• Plan data collection and testing to support algorithm development.
• Maintain accurate records and inventory of test datasets.
• Coordinate with regulatory agencies for certification testing.
