Job summary

Rapiscan Systems in the United Kingdom is seeking a Data Collection Test Technician to join the Product team. You will plan and execute data collections and tests from our prototype X-ray machines, documenting results and feeding back to algorithm developers.

Responsibilities include creating data sets, conducting scans, maintaining records, and liaising with regulatory testing bodies to ensure compliance and certification readiness. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or minimum 2 years of relevant employment.
• Willingness to travel up to 10–20% domestically and internationally.
• Ability to work independently with meticulous data recording.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute data collections and tests for prototype X-ray machines.
• Develop and manage test sets and items to create data sets for testing and development.
• Conduct testing, scan test items, and record detailed test results.
• Analyze data, curate test datasets, and provide feedback to algorithm development.
• Coordinate with regulatory testing agencies and maintain regulatory liaison records.
• Keep accurate records of testing, observations and results; maintain data inventories.
