Job summary

ASC Connections Ltd. is seeking a Test Engineer to join a well-established engineering and manufacturing business that develops specialist machinery for diverse sectors.

You will work in a dedicated development cell, building and testing prototype machinery, setting up validation programmes, collecting data, and supporting the transition of new products into production. The role combines practical mechanical assembly, testing and technical reporting.

Qualifications

• Hands-on mechanical assembly or test rig experience.
• Experience with machining, welding, and fabrication.
• Ability to read engineering drawings.
• Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

Responsibilities

• Build prototype machinery, assemblies, test equipment, jigs and fixtures.
• Set up and complete mechanical test and validation programmes.
• Collect and analyse test data before producing clear technical reports.
• Investigate existing products and recommend engineering changes following customer, supplier, or internal issues.
• Machining or modifying development components when required.
• Work with Design, Manufacturing and Quality to move new products from prototype into production.
