Job summary

ECM Selection in Cambridge is seeking a Design Engineer to join a growing defence start-up team. The role involves working with senior engineers to bring innovative concepts from prototype to deliverable hardware for defence applications, in a multidisciplinary environment.

You'll gain hands-on experience with mechanical, electronics, software and physics integration, and the position is fully onsite at Cambridge workshops and R&D facilities. Travel to partners may be required.

Qualifications

• Eligible for UK security clearance; sponsorship not offered.
• Proven R&D prototyping experience in cross-functional teams.
• Strong CAD experience with solid theoretical engineering understanding.

Responsibilities

• Take concepts from idea to prototype and develop them into deliverable hardware.
• Collaborate in a multidisciplinary environment spanning mechanical, electronics, software and physics.
• Work onsite at Cambridge workshops and R&D facilities; travel to partners may be required.
