Job summary

Insight Select in Whitstable (Chestfield area) is seeking a Product Innovation Engineer for a hybrid, permanent role with a basic salary up to £80,000. The position focuses on designing and developing prototype products, coordinating with testing teams, and ensuring specifications meet requirements.

A Higher National Certificate or Degree in Engineering is required along with experience using SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD software, and a background in manufacturing or mechanical environments.

Qualifications

• Experience in product development or prototype engineering.
• Degree or HNC in an engineering field.
• Experience using SolidWorks or a similar 3D CAD software.
• Background in manufacturing, engineering, or mechanical environments.
• Good communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Designing and developing prototype products.
• Work with the testing team to ensure products meet guidelines and amend prototype specifications.
• Work closely with internal teams to ensure designs meet the correct requirements.
• Conduct investigations on failed prototype tests.
• Presenting concepts and technical details to internal teams.
