Senex Recruitment is supporting an innovative technology manufacturer in Kent seeking a Mechanical Design & Development Engineer to join the engineering team. Based in Paddock Wood with hybrid working, you will contribute to the full product development lifecycle from concept through to manufacture and launch.

You will develop mechanical designs using 3D CAD, create detailed drawings, support testing and NPI, and collaborate across electronics, manufacturing, quality and commercial teams to

Qualifikationen

• Degree qualification or equivalent experience in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience using 3D CAD software to create components, assemblies and drawings.
• Understanding of mechanical design principles, materials and manufacturing processes.
• Strong problem-solving ability and practical engineering mindset.
• Ability to manage priorities and work independently within a team.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• Attention to detail and methodical approach to engineering tasks.

Aufgaben

• Develop mechanical designs and concepts using 3D CAD software.
• Produce detailed drawings, assembly docs and visualisations.
• Design manufacturable, cost-effective products.
• Support prototype development, testing and validation.
• Collaborate with electronic, manufacturing, quality and commercial teams throughout the lifecycle.
• Support NPI projects and engineering change activities.
• Create and maintain BOMs, technical docs and manufacturing records.
• Liaise with suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve technical challenges.
• Assist with production support and ongoing product enhancements.
• Contribute to customer-facing documentation and installation guides.
