Job summary

ARM in Birmingham is seeking a Prototype Build & Test Technician for a 6-month contract to lead the build of a battery test property system. You will obtain parts from stores and assemble test properties at battery pack, module and cell levels, using electronic CAD provided and taking a hands-on approach to resolve prototype build issues.

Prototype Build & Test Technician

Responsible for leading the build of a battery test property system, providing battery systems & supporting testing as and when requested. The role includes obtaining parts from stores, building up a test property using electronic Cad provided and will require a hands on / proactive approach to overcoming build issues based on prototype build. The Test properties typical include Battery pack, module, and cell level assembly.

The role demands a highly skilled individual (ideally with a prototype background), driving process efficiency, safety, and identifying design for manufacture improvements. You will be comfortable with developing relationships to work within the HV battery build and testing team and battery design team and deliver a consistent process driven solution.
