Job summary

Flutter is seeking a Prototyping Engineer for its Frontier R&D team in the UK. You will turn ideas into working software rapidly, building prototypes that explore ML systems, API integrations, and new tech across betting and gaming.

You will leverage generative AI tools, collaborate with researchers, and help demonstrate technical feasibility for future projects, with a hybrid working approach.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Python and JavaScript/TypeScript
• Hands-on experience with machine learning frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow or similar)
• Frequent use of generative AI coding assistants and productivity tools
• Ability to deliver working prototypes quickly with minimal specification
• Experience with API development and RESTful services
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and deployment pipelines (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Comfort with ambiguity and evolving requirements
• Interest in learning new technologies and emergent tools

Responsibilities

• Rapidly building functional prototypes across diverse tech domains
• Leveraging generative AI coding assistants to maximise velocity
• Developing proof-of-concept apps for emerging technologies in betting and gaming
• Building automated pipelines for content generation, data processing, and integration
• Integrating third-party APIs and services to create novel product experiences
• Implementing ML models and neural networks for experiments
• Deploying prototypes to internal demos for stakeholder evaluation
