Job summary

Intertek in Milton Keynes is seeking a Propulsion Test Technician who enjoys hands-on mechanical work. You will prepare test hardware, set up engine test facilities and monitor tests, working closely with engineers to ensure data quality.

The role focuses on testing propulsion systems, maintaining safety, documenting results, and supporting troubleshooting and continuous improvement within a professional engine testing facility.

Qualifications

• Hands-on mechanical or electrical experience is desirable.
• Vocational qualification in mechanical or electrical engineering is desirable.
• Ability to work safely and follow procedures in test environments.

Responsibilities

• Prepare test hardware and set up engine test facilities.
• Conduct propulsion system tests and monitor data.
• Record data and raise anomalies to project engineers.
• Assist in troubleshooting and maintenance of test hardware.
• Support documentation, data management and hardware inventories.
• Assist with setup, disassembly and modification of test hardware.
• Maintain facility safety and contribute to continuous improvement.
