Job summary

WSP in the UK & Ireland is seeking a Proposals Manager to lead opportunities through the Work Winning Lifecycle from Capture to Handover. You will collaborate with business leaders, technical specialists, and proposal professionals to form winning teams and craft compelling proposals.

In this role, you will maintain bid knowledge, support improvement initiatives, and assist integration of AI across stages. You will mentor junior team members and strive for high-quality, profitable outcomes.

Qualifications

• Qualified to degree level in an appropriate subject.
• APMP Foundation as a minimum.
• Knowledge of services/proposals within Environmental and Earth Sciences is preferred.
• Strong and effective verbal and written communication with a collaborative approach.
• Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritise.
• Excellent command of language for editing text and response writing.

Responsibilities

• Manage opportunities through the WSP Work Winning Lifecycle (Capture, Bid Prep, Qualification, RFP, Lessons learned, Handover).
• Follow WSP best practice and comply with internal governance requirements.
• Influence and communicate at a senior level whilst managing interfaces with the wider proposals team, other UK/global business streams and partners.
• Facilitate the development of delivery solutions, winning bid strategies and key messages.
• Work with technical authors to write and review impactful, tailored and compelling content.
• Support project teams in preparing for interviews.
• Acting as a hub of best practice and knowledge for proposals.
• Acting as a mentor for junior members in the team.

A Little More About Your Role...

As a Proposals Manager, you will be assigned opportunities which you will take through the WSP Work Winning Lifecycle. In collaboration with business leaders, technical specialists and proposal professionals, you will: form winning teams to position WSP and influence our clients; create compelling win strategies; develop quality and profitable proposals; and efficiently handover from bid to delivery teams to allow for smooth mobilisation. Alongside your involvement in leading bids, you will be required to engage in maintaining our bid knowledge library, supporting work winning improvement initiatives and support our ongoing drive to integrate AI and continuous improvements to all stages of the work winning lifecycle.
