Job summary

WES, part of the RSE Group, invites applications for a Proposals Engineer based at our Basingstoke office. You will support the development of technically compliant and commercially competitive proposals for chemical dosing solutions across the water and utilities sectors, coordinating with Project Delivery, Engineering, Production and Site Operations.

Qualifications

• Experience in proposals, estimating, applications or project engineering environments.
• Ability to interpret drawings, specifications and P&IDs.
• Strong commercial awareness with cost estimation and pricing.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare technically compliant and commercially competitive proposals and tenders.
• Review client specs, drawings and tender docs to derive technical requirements.
• Develop dosing solutions with Engineering, Project Delivery and Production teams.
• Prepare cost estimates and pricing using standard costs and quotations.
• Conduct site visits to gather information for accurate proposals.
• Coordinate with clients to clarify technical requirements and expectations.
• Prepare proposal docs detailing scope, solution, pricing, assumptions and programme.
• Support responses to technical and commercial clarifications during tendering and pre-contract.
• Gather supplier/subcontractor information and lead times for proposals.
• Ensure proposals comply with internal standards and deadlines.
• Maintain records of inquiries, quotations and costing for traceability.
• Support development of standard costs and proposal templates.
