Job summary

WES in Basingstoke is seeking a Trainee Proposals Engineer to join the Proposals team. You will assist in preparing technical and commercial proposals and cost estimates for chemical dosing solutions, working with Engineering, Project Delivery, Production and Site Operations.

As you grow, you will take more responsibility for quotations and proposals, developing knowledge towards a Proposals Engineer role within the pre-contract process from enquiry to handover.

Qualifications

• Good numerical skills and attention to detail with estimating knowledge.
• Interest in engineering proposals and estimating and a willingness to learn.
• Ability to understand technical information and drawings as knowledge develops.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparation of technical and commercial proposals, quotations and tender submissions.
• Review client enquiries, specifications, drawings and tender docs with guidance.
• Develop understanding of WES dosing systems and standard products.
• Assist with cost estimates using standard costs and supplier quotes.
• Attend site visits to understand existing installations and project needs.
• Prepare proposal documentation including scope, pricing, assumptions and exclusions.
