We are recruiting for a Technical Proposals &; Documentation Engineer to join a growing engineering business. The Role

Working closely with sales, engineering, and operational teams, you will play a key role in ensuring technical information is accurately translated into professional proposals, reports, and business documentation.

Key responsibilities include:

• The Proposals &; Documentation Engineer will be producing detailed technical proposals, quotations, and cost estimates for bespoke engineering projects.
• Collaborating with sales and engineering teams to develop customer-focused technical solutions.
• Preparing high-quality technical reports and compliance documentation.
• Creating and maintaining Risk Assessments, Method Statements (RAMS), and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Managing project documentation and maintaining accurate records through ERP and business systems.
• Supporting the standardisation and continuous improvement of internal documentation processes.
• The Proposals &; Documentation Engineer will be acting as a key link between sales, design, manufacturing, and installation teams to ensure accurate project information is communicated throughout the project lifecycle.
• Supporting quality and compliance requirements through accurate and professional documentation.

About You

The successful candidate will have:

• A background in mechanical engineering, manufacturing, or a related technical environment is ideal
• Strong technical writing and documentation skills.
• Experience producing quotations, estimates, technical proposals, or project documentation.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Strong IT skills with the ability to quickly learn and utilise new software systems.
• The ability to communicate complex technical information clearly and professionally.
• A proactive approach with a focus on quality, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
• Experience using ERP systems.
• Knowledge of industrial manufacturing processes or engineered systems.
• Familiarity with compliance documentation, technical reporting, or engineering standards.
• Experience within a project-based engineering or manufacturing environment.
