Job summary

Pangea Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Proposals and Project Engineer for UK operations, combining proposals engineering with project delivery support in a hybrid home/office setup.

The role requires experience with technical sales proposals, process documentation, ERP systems, and cross-functional collaboration across departments and with third-party contractors. You will manage multiple capital equipment projects up to €5M and ensure timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience in proposals engineering and/or documentation management for high-value technical projects.
• Ability to manage multiple proposals/projects simultaneously and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
• Familiarity with SAP/ERP and CRM systems, and compliance with CE regulations and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Handle new enquiries, assess scope, design, develop, and publish technical sales proposals.
• Collaborate with Project Manager/Business Unit Manager to publish proposals.
• Support Project Managers and Business Unit Manager in timely delivery of integrated lines.
• Prepare supporting documentation, review specifications, manage resources, and communicate across departments and with third parties.
• Manage up to 10 proposals/projects simultaneously; ensure on-time delivery and budget adherence.
• Develop cross-functional relationships and liaise with third-party contractors.

Proposals and Project Engineer

Global Market Leader - High Speed Food Equipment (Packaging and Processing Machinery)

The product portfolio compromises of a wide range of packaging technology, food processing equipment, automation solutions, labelling/marking equipment, bakery solutions, inspection systems and packaging materials applications.

The Proposals & Project Engineer plays a crucial role in delivering Capital Equipment Projects to the food and medical industries within the UK market. This role encompasses two primary functions:

• Managing Technical Sales Proposals


• Supporting Project Delivery

Proposals:

• Handle new enquiries and assess, scope, design, develop, and create technical sales proposals.


• Collaborate with the Project Manager and/or Business Unit Manager to manage the publication of proposals.

Project Tasks:

• Support Project Managers and the Business Unit Manager in the timely delivery and implementation of integrated lines.


• Prepare supporting documentation, review specifications, manage resources, and communicate across departments and with third parties.

Project Management:

• Manage up to 10 proposals/projects simultaneously, with project values ranging from €100K to €5M.


• Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Required Skills

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in 2D CAD software.


• Strong understanding of technical project documentation, including process flow diagrams, User Requirement Specifications and cost/finance reports.


• Knowledge of CE regulations and safety standards.


• Experience with SAP or similar enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.


• Familiarity with CRM systems for managing project data and customer interactions.

Project Management:

• Experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously, with values ranging from €100K to €5M.


• Ability to prepare and manage project financial summaries and technical sales proposals.


• Strong organizational and time management skills.

Communication and Collaboration:

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.


• Ability to develop strong cross-functional relationships within the organization and with external partners.


• Experience in liaising with third-party contractors.

After an initial training period there is flexibility to work from home with approximately 2 days per week in the office.
