As part of the next stage of our development we are building up our Sales team in the UK and currently have an opportunity for a Proposal Engineer. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and technical professional who is looking to grow their career in a commercially focused, technical role.

Responsibilities

• Creation and delivery of compliant, professionally produced proposals within customer defined time frames
• Responsible for ensuring proposal documents follow standard formatting and quality standards
• Preparing and reviewing the commercial aspects of the bid, ensuring all services are included in the final price to the customer
• Providing hands on technical support to the Sales team
• Work closely with production to ensure proposals are meeting the estimated costs regarding manufacturing timescales and installation plans
• Producing PowerPoint presentations to accompany proposal documents
• Supporting the sales team on site visits as part of the proposal submission process
• Following the defined process regarding producing costings and generating proposals information
• Promoting best practice for layout and content of all proposal submissions

• Confident using Office 365 tools, especially Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• Customer focused, with a passion for building strong relationships with internal & external customers
• Previous experience of working as part of an engineering or technical sales team
• Strong written skills to produce technical specifications and quotations
• Ability to work under pressure to tight timescales and juggle multiple priorities
• Solid organisational skills including attention to detail
• Methodical working approach and comfortable with data/ numbers
• The desire to continually learn and develop
• Ability to read and produce drawings using either SolidWorks or AutoCAD would be an advantage
• Willingness and ability to travel to visit customer sites as and when required
• Valid driving licence essential
