Job summary

Northrop Grumman UK is seeking a Proposal Co-ordinator in Cheltenham, working onsite three days a week with hybrid arrangements. You will support a surge in opportunities, reporting to the Head of Bids, and collaborate with BD, Capture and Bid teams on frameworks, proposals, and competitive intelligence.

Key responsibilities include ensuring compliance, structuring proposals, monitoring progress, and delivering actionable insights using systems like Salesforce and SAP.

Qualifications

• Experience operating within formal tendering processes and procurement portals.
• Clear demonstrable experience in creating and delivering bid documentation.
• Experience in producing clear progress reporting for bids.
• Experience in government or defence sectors is desirable.
• Experience in research and data collection/analysis.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary point of contact for frameworks and call-offs, coordinating with internal/external teams to ensure compliance.
• Drive generation of non-complex/call-off proposals, outline structure, schedule, and allocate sections to SMEs.
• Monitor proposal team contributions to ensure the final offer is well reviewed and differentiated.
• Manage in-process proposal submission reviews to ensure high-quality, competitive proposals.
• Ensure compliance with the business acquisition process.
• Gather, analyse and report data to deliver actionable intelligence for decisions.
• Champion collaboration and best practices using IMS tools and processes.
• Support reporting from systems like Salesforce/SAP with data validity.
• Assist other BD functions and tools as required (graphic design, writing, etc.).
• Provide support with content library, lessons learned tracker, and more.

The Opportunity

What You’ll Do

• Act as the primary point of contact for frameworks and call offs, liaising with internal and external teams to ensure compliance
• Drive the generation of non-complex/call-off proposals, outlining the proposal structure, setting the schedule and allocation of section/contribution responsibilities to the relevant subject matter expert
• Continuously monitor progress and content of proposal team contributions / inputs as appropriate to ensure that our offer is suitably and independently reviewed and challenged to ensure it best represents our offer, our approach and our capabilities
• Manage the key in-process proposal submission reviews to establish a high quality, competitive and ultimately market differentiating proposal
• Ensure compliance with the business acquisition process
• Gather, analyse and report on data sets to deliver actionable intelligence and strategic insights to drive business decisions.
• Working with the Head of Bids, champion a theme of collaboration, improvement and best practice utilising the tools and processes contained within the IMS.
• Support with clear and concise reporting from all systems (e.g.Salesforce, SAP) on a regular basis, including ensuring validity of data contained within these systems.
• Support other functions, systems and tools within the BD team as and when required, e.g. graphic design, writing, lessons learnt tracker, content library etc.

Essential

What We’re Looking For

• Experience of operating within the constraints of formal tendering processes, using procurement portals such as Award and Bravo
• Clear demonstrable experience in product and service bid documentation
• Experienced in the creation and delivery of clear and concise progress reporting
• Experience in government or defence sectors
• Experience in research and data collection and analysis
