Job summary

Northrop Grumman UK is seeking a Proposal Co-ordinator in Cheltenham to support a surge in opportunities. You will report to the Head of Bids and provide operational support to BD, Capture and Bid teams, focusing on frameworks, proposal management, data analysis and competitive intelligence.

You will help coordinate proposal work, ensure compliance, manage schedules and deliver high-quality submissions while contributing to strategic insights and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Experience with formal tendering processes and procurement portals (e.g., Award, Bravo).
• Proven ability to create and deliver clear bid documentation and progress reports.
• Experience handling data analysis to support bid decisions.
• Experience in government or defence sectors.
• Strong data collection and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Act as primary contact for frameworks and call-offs, ensuring compliance.
• Drive generation of non-complex proposals, outline structure and assign responsibilities to SMEs.
• Monitor progress and content of proposal inputs to ensure quality and competitiveness.
• Manage in-process proposal submission reviews to produce high-quality, differentiated proposals.
• Ensure compliance with the business acquisition process.
• Gather, analyse and report data to deliver actionable intelligence for business decisions.
• Collaborate with the Head of Bids to promote best practices within IMS tools.
• Support reporting from systems (e.g., Salesforce, SAP) and ensure data validity.
• Assist other BD team functions and tools as required (graphic design, writing, lessons learned, content library).

As a Proposal Coordinator , you'll play a pivotal role in supporting a surge in opportunities and growth. Reporting directly to the Head of Bids, you will provide operational assistance to the wider BD, Capture and Bid teams, with specific focus on frameworks, proposal management, data analysis, reporting and competitive/market intelligence.

What You'll Do

• Act as the primary point of contact for frameworks and call offs, liaising with internal and external teams to ensure compliance
• Drive the generation of non-complex/call-off proposals, outlining the proposal structure, setting the schedule and allocation of section/contribution responsibilities to the relevant subject matter expert
• Continuously monitor progress and content of proposal team contributions / inputs as appropriate to ensure that our offer is suitably and independently reviewed and challenged to ensure it best represents our offer, our approach and our capabilities
• Manage the key in-process proposal submission reviews to establish a high quality, competitive and ultimately market differentiating proposal
• Ensure compliance with the business acquisition process
• Gather, analyse and report on data sets to deliver actionable intelligence and strategic insights to drive business decisions.
• Working with the Head of Bids, champion a theme of collaboration, improvement and best practice utilising the tools and processes contained within the IMS.
• Support clear and concise reporting from all systems (e.g.Salesforce, SAP) on a regular basis, including ensuring validity of data contained within these systems.
• Support other functions, systems and tools within the BD team as and when required, e.g. graphic design, writing, lessons learnt tracker, content library etc.

What We're Looking For

Essential:

• Experience of operating within the constraints of formal tendering processes, using procurement portals such as Award and Bravo
• Clear demonstrable experience in product and service bid documentation
• Experienced in the creation and delivery of clear and concise progress reporting
• Experience in government or defence sectors
• Experience in research and data collection and analysis
