Job description
Property Technical Support Officer (Ref: PTSO)

Salary: £27,859.52
Hours: 37 Hours per week
Location: Bishops’ College/Hybrid

This role is based in the busy Property Services department. The postholder will provide a wide range of administrative and technical support to the property team and assist with the management of the Council’s portfolio of residential and commercial properties. The duties will include:

  • General administrative support including answering telephone queries, distributing scanned mail, filing and photocopying
  • Updating the property database systems and running reports
  • Providing maps and creating lease plans (after training)
  • Raising purchase orders and processing of invoices
  • Conducting viewings of commercial and residential properties
  • Inspecting void properties and dealing with utility bills
  • Updating property lists on the Council’s website and third-party marketing platforms (after training)
  • Managing third party instruction portals

Applicants should have GCSE passes in Maths and English at grade C (4) or above as well as an I.T or Business qualification. Previous administrative experience in a busy office environment and a background in property would be an advantage.

The successful applicant must be a hardworking team player able to apply common sense, be numerate and literate with good written and interpersonal skills, excellent attention to detail and the ability to use their own initiative to problem solve. A current valid driving licence is essential.

The Council currently adopts a hybrid working pattern with at least 3 days office based.

The ability to converse at ease with members of the public and provide advice in fluent English is essential in this post.
