Job summary

Cambridge Housing Society (CHS Group) is seeking a Property Surveyor based at the head office on Vision Park to support the repairs and maintenance service for CHS and its customers.

You will manage servicing and maintenance contractors, ensuring a prompt, customer-focused repairs service that delivers value for money while remaining compliant with health and safety requirements including CDM, method statements, risk assessments and compliance certification.

Qualifications

• Experience in repairs and maintenance management.
• Knowledge of health and safety requirements (CDM, risk assessments).
• Ability to inspect and survey assets for defect diagnosis.

Responsibilities

• Assist in provision of repairs and maintenance service through management of contractors.
• Ensure an effective customer-focused repairs service delivering value for money.
• Complete inspections and surveys for defect diagnosis and asset condition.
• Contribute to contract procurement with technical input to design specs.

Cambridge Housing Society (CHS Group), a charitable housing association and social enterprise, are recruiting for this role based at their head office on the Vision Park.

Property Surveyor to assist in the provision of the repairs and maintenance service for CHS and its customers, through the effective day-to-day the management of CHS' servicing, repairs and maintenance contractors. Ensure an effective and prompt customer-focused repairs service, for the benefit of CHS customers. You’ll take accountability for customer outcomes, making sure these services provide value for money. Remain compliant with health and safety requirements for responsive repairs and servicing requirements. e.g. CDM, method statements, risk assessments and compliance certification. Complete inspections and surveys on behalf of CHS for defect diagnosis and assurance relating to quality / performance, health and safety compliance and asset condition.
