Role Purpose

  • The purpose of this role is to provide an effective minor through to extensive works maintenance surveying service to all (void and occupied) properties, to assess condition and identify building defects, to diagnose and prepare specification of works and obtain quotations.
  • You will be expected to assess issues and risks, make decisions to mitigate risks, and ensure the safety of residents and the standard of our properties.

Responsibilities

  • Work within the Temporary Accommodation Service team alongside property and acquisitions negotiators, property management officers, and finance officers.
  • Maintain contact with Rehousing and Lettings, Legal Services, Repairs Service, and Landlord and Agents.
  • Be responsible for the handback of homes for Councils leasing properties, leading on dilapidation and disrepair claims from inception to completion.

Requirements

  • Ability to provide an effective maintenance surveying service for all (void and occupied) properties.
  • Ability to assess conditions, identify building defects, diagnose issues, prepare specifications, and obtain quotations.
  • Ability to assess issues and risks, make decisions to mitigate risks, and ensure residents' safety and property standards.

Contract Details

  • Initial 3 to 6 month ongoing contract with the possibility of extension.
  • PAYE via Umbrella.
  • Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.
