Job description

Property Surveyor (North London region)

£46,683 - £49,140

Due to our expanding property portfolio within MTVH, we are recruiting experienced Property Surveyors for our London regional projects team. The role involves diagnosing and managing minor works, insurance cases, legal disrepair claims, and other non-routine repairs such as void inspections, damp and mould assessments, and building faults, aiming to find satisfactory resolutions for our residents while considering budgets.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  1. Managing your workload to diagnose and handle property defects, disrepair issues, and larger projects including planned replacements.
  2. Handling all aspects of building maintenance and defects, including post-inspection follow-up.
  3. Contributing to the development of works and providing technical support and advice.
  4. Participating in the Property Team to meet corporate objectives and improve business processes.
  5. Reviewing Home Improvement requests, safeguarding assets of Metropolitan Thames Valley HA.

Experience in Disrepair and knowledge of Section 11 of the Landlord and Tenant Act are essential.

What you'll need to succeed

You must have a proven track record of delivering complex repairs, with knowledge of Schedule of Rates and building diagnostics. The role requires experience in people and financial management, excellent diagnostic skills, and confidence with IT systems. Your commitment, curiosity, and passion for fixing buildings correctly the first time are valued above all.

Note: The role may involve contact with vulnerable adults. We will conduct a basic DBS check upon offer, with reviews every three years. We do not currently offer visa sponsorship.
