Job summary

Build Recruitment Limited in Central London is seeking an experienced Property Services Surveyor to join its client’s Property Services team. You will deliver a safe, responsive and high-quality repairs service across around 1,500 homes, managing repairs contracts and contractor performance.

The role requires strong knowledge of building defects, damp and mould, disrepair and HHSRS, plus an essential HNC/HND in Building Surveying or Construction.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in surveying, property maintenance or responsive repairs, ideally within social housing.
• Experience managing repair contracts, contractors and budgets.
• Strong knowledge of building defects, damp and mould, disrepair and HHSRS.
• HNC/HND or equivalent qualification in Building Surveying or Construction - ESSENTIAL.
• Excellent diagnostic, specification and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Confidence working independently and using IT/housing management systems.
• A commitment to delivering excellent services for residents.

Responsibilities

• Manage responsive repairs contracts, oversee contractor performance and budgets.
• Diagnose building defects and manage complex cases including damp and mould, disrepair, voids and insurance claims.
• Undertake fire door inspections, support building safety and compliance, develop repairs performance measures and provide technical advice to colleagues and contractors.
• Deliver a safe, responsive and high-quality repairs service across a portfolio of around 1,500 homes.

A resident-led housing organisation is seeking an experienced Surveyor to join its Property Services team. You will play a key role in delivering a safe, responsive and high-quality planned and responsive repairs service across a portfolio of around 1,500 homes.

You will manage responsive repairs contracts, oversee contractor performance and budgets, diagnose building defects and manage complex cases including damp and mould, disrepair, voids and insurance claims. You will also undertake fire door inspections, support building safety and compliance, develop repairs performance measures and provide technical advice to colleagues and contractors.

We are looking for someone with:
