QinetiQ Limited is seeking a Property Services Operative at MOD Boscombe Down to deliver plumbing, installations and general maintenance across the site. You will support the Property Operations team by completing planned and requested tasks to maintain high quality services.

Role requires a full driving license and a proactive approach to safety on a unique defence site. The position is 37 hours per week, based at Boscombe Down, with a comprehensive benefits package and a commitment to

• Previous experience in a similar role.

Responsibilities

• Deliver tasks such as plumbing, installations, painting and decorating and other general services.
• Ensure maintenance standards and quality of work delivered are to the required level.
• Assist in resolving customer issues with outstanding tasks or deliveries.
• Ensure movement of consumables and materials across site in the ongoing management of services.
• Collect waste items from across site and dispose in correct receptacles.
• Assist Grounds Maintenance to keep site grounds at the required standard.

The Role

As a Property Services Operative, you will provide robust and flexible support and undertake a number of duties such as routine maintenance tasks, plumbing, grounds maintenance, escorting and other general duties in support of the Property Operations on a site.

Day-to-day, you will provide support by delivering planned or requested activities in order to effectively deliver a high-quality operations service across the MOD Boscombe Down site.

Your responsibilities will include:

• To deliver tasks as identified such as plumbing, installations, painting and decorating and other general services
• To ensure maintenance standards and quality of work delivered are to the required level
• To assist in resolving customer issues with outstanding tasks or deliveries
• To ensure the appropriate movement of consumables & materials across site in the ongoing management of services
• To ensure the collection of waste items from across site and disposal in the correct receptacles
• To assist the Grounds Maintenance team ensuring that the site grounds are kept to the required standard

Essential experience of the Property Services Operative:

• Ability to safely deploy equipment
• Previous plumbing experience an advantage
• Previous experience in a similar role

Essential qualifications for the Property Services Operative:

• Full Driving License

MOD Boscombe Down is a unique operational site featuring the longest military runway in the UK. Primarily focusing on providing testing, evaluation and support services for aviation and aerospace systems.
