Job summary

QinetiQ in Portsmouth is seeking a part-time Cleaner to support the group property operations. The role is 20 hours per week, typically 07:00–11:00, performing internal cleaning of offices, labs, kitchens, and more, while handling light maintenance tasks and general duties as required.

Candidates must have prior cleaning experience and a valid UK driving licence; eligibility for SC clearance is required. The role offers a pro-rata salary and benefits within a cutting-edge tech environment.

The Role

As a Cleaner, you will provide robust and flexible support and undertake a number of duties. You will act as a Property Service Operative where your job will be 80% cleaning and 20% will be undertaking other tasks such as low level routine maintenance, lift and shift, post, escorting and other general duties in support of the Group Property operations on a site.

Day-to-day, you will:

• Be carrying out cleaning of all internal areas on site, including offices, toilets, labs and kitchens
• Deliver general service tasks as identified such as hanging notice boards, weekly shower flushes and recording for audit purposes
• Ensure maintenance standards and quality of work delivered are to the required level
• Assist in resolving customer issues with outstanding tasks or deliveries

Essential experience of the Cleaner:

• You must have previous experience as a Cleaner
• You must have a valid UK Driving License

Portsmouth Technology Park (PTP) is one of QinetiQ’s key facilities, focusing on advanced technology development and engineering services. The facility utilises sophisticated modelling and simulation techniques to analyse and predict performance.
